Manchester United have agreed to sell Angel di Maria to Paris Saint-Germain for £44.3m.
Di Maria is due in Doha, Qatar, later today for talks with PSG's owners and a medical, and he could complete his move within 24 hours.
United's most expensive signing endured a dismal season at Old Trafford and failed to fly out to the United States for the club's final pre-season tour match against PSG last month, much to the anger of Louis van Gaal.
Van Gaal is understood to have fined Di Maria £360,000 and the Argentine's imminent departure should see Barcelona forward Pedro arrive at United.
Pedro is expected to complete a transfer to United later this month, though Barcelona do not want to sell him until after the Uefa Super Cup clash with Sevilla.
Former Real Madrid midfielder Di Maria was left unsettled after an attempted burglary on his Cheshire home in February.
Since then, the 27-year-old and his family have been living in a city-centre apartment in Manchester owned by former United defender Phil Neville.

PSG coach Laurent Blanc said both clubs were "close" to striking a deal for the former Benfica player on Thursday.
"Manchester United and PSG are two big clubs and negotiations can be difficult but we are close to the end," the PSG coach said.

United manager Louis van Gaal claimed at the time that he had no idea where his star midfielder was.
"I don't know where he is," the United boss said.
